The name ‘One of the Seventy’ is derived from scripture.  Luke 10:1-2 says:

“After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place whither he himself would come.
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest is truly great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.”

The labourers which are referred to in Luke 10 are those of us called into leadership.  If we want to be able to lead others to Christ, we must present the Gospel in a way which creates a sincere desire to learn more.  Through our efforts in fulfilling our mission, we believe that we can train and perfect those whom God has chosen, and together multiply the few into the many needed to go out into the great harvest..
